For massage therapy services provided directly through Mobile-RMT.ca, Bogdan Muraru, RMT is responsible for the personal information and patient health records under his control. In other practice settings, such as when services are provided through another clinic or organization, he may act as an agent of another health information custodian and that organization's privacy practices may also apply.

2. Website inquiries and information you provide
Visiting this website or making a general inquiry is different from becoming a massage therapy patient. This website does not currently provide user accounts, online payment processing, or an online health-intake form.
If you contact the practice by phone, text message, or email, you may choose to provide information such as your name, contact details, preferred appointment information, service location, and the contents of your message. Only information reasonably necessary for the purpose of the inquiry or service should be collected.
Ordinary email and SMS/text messaging cannot be guaranteed to be secure. Please avoid sending detailed or sensitive health information through those channels unless it is necessary and you are comfortable using that method of communication.
3. Website analytics and cookies
Mobile-RMT.ca uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its performance and usefulness. GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information such as device and browser type, approximate geographic region, pages viewed, referral source, interactions with the site, and technical identifiers such as an IP address or cookie/device identifier.
The website also loads services from Google, including Google-hosted fonts. These third-party services may receive technical information needed to deliver their services. Google may process information on servers located outside Ontario or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings. Doing so may affect some website functionality. This website does not currently use Meta Pixel or targeted-advertising cookies.

5. Personal health information and clinical records
When you become a massage therapy patient, information relating to your health and treatment is handled as personal health information. As a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario, Bogdan Muraru, RMT must protect the privacy and confidentiality of patient health information and comply with applicable legal and professional requirements, including Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA) and the standards of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
For services provided directly through Mobile-RMT.ca, health information is collected, used, or disclosed only as reasonably necessary for providing care and carrying out related professional obligations. Patient health records are retained for 10 years after the patient's last visit, or 10 years after the day the patient turned 18 if the patient was under 18 at the time of the visit, in accordance with CMTO's current Record Keeping standard.
6. When information may be shared
Personal information is not sold or rented. Information may be disclosed with your consent, as reasonably necessary to provide services, to service providers that support practice operations, or where disclosure is permitted or required by law or professional obligations.
Service providers may include website hosting and analytics providers, email or telecommunications providers, booking or clinical-record systems, payment processors, professional advisers, and other providers necessary to operate the practice. Where appropriate, only the information reasonably necessary for the provider to perform its service is shared.
7. Retention and safeguards
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or for the period required by law, regulation, professional standards, insurance, tax, or other legitimate record-keeping requirements.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of electronic communication, storage, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Privacy breaches
If personal information is lost, accessed without authorization, or improperly used or disclosed, reasonable steps will be taken to contain and assess the incident, reduce the risk of harm, and meet applicable notification, reporting, documentation, and other legal or professional obligations.
9. Access, correction, and consent
You may ask about personal information held about you and, subject to applicable law, request access to or correction of that information. Additional rights and procedures apply to personal health information under PHIPA. Requests can be made using the contact information above.
Where consent is the legal basis for a use or disclosure, you may withdraw consent subject to legal, professional, contractual, or record-retention requirements and any consequences that may result from the withdrawal.
